The Gulf Shores Middle School Band Program is a comprehensive music program that provides students with the opportunity to learn and play a variety of musical styles and instruments. With well over 100 students grades 6-8, the Band is the largest student organization at Gulf Shores Middle School. The program offers instruction for beginning, intermediate, and advanced players in concert band, small ensembles, and percussion ensemble. All students have the opportunity to participate in small group instruction, sectionals, and full band rehearsals. The program is designed to give students the opportunity to explore various musical styles and techniques while building an appreciation and respect for music. The band program also provides students with numerous performances at school events, State Assessment, and local venues. All students are encouraged to take part in the band program and develop their musical abilities.
